Casey and I met when I was a junior in high school. I was a guest at my friend Lindsay's house for dinner and her cousin Casey was there making us a Mexican dinner. Twelve years later, here we are! Engaged and looking forward to marriage! Below is us in the Madison River Valley, Montana.
Casey and I would see each other time to time but it wasn't until a night of wine and kereoke that brought us together. Let me paint the picture...during the summer of 2006 I was invited to join Lindsay's family reunion up at Casey's home in Ferndale. I was so excited to see my "other" family. Lots of wine, a kereoke machine and dance party later, we all ended up in a dance circle. Casey pulled me into the middle, trying his hardest to show me his best moves. His best move ended up being a trip, crash landing and my face being smooshed to the ground while he toppled on top of me. My tooth went into my lip, some blood to follow. The rest is history. I went home to have surgery on my lip a few weeks later. I ended up with a huge goiter at the wound which had to be removed. And, not too long to follow was a phone call from Casey and a two hour trip down to my house. He arrived at 8am. What the heck! Who has a date that early! We've been together ever since.
Below was a trip we took to Alaska our first year of dating. This was a three day canoe trip with my family down the Swanson River. If a new couple can handle canoeing down the Swanson with a broken paddle (mine) you can handle anything. That trip I gained the Indian name broken ore.
One of our favorite hobbies in the spring and summer is our garden.
By the time we get married, we will also be a month away from celebrating our 5 year anniversary.
And we are ready for many more!
